These terms apply when you use CheckMyAccidentValue.com, including Alex, our AI case assistant, by chat or by phone. Please read them. By using the site or submitting your information, you agree to them. Last updated September 9, 2026.
Talk to Alex, free →Plain-English summary first: we are an advertising and marketing service, not a law firm. Alex is an AI, not a lawyer. Using this site is free. If you ask, we connect you with independent attorneys who pay us for that introduction. Nothing here is legal advice, and no attorney-client relationship is created by using this site.
CheckMyAccidentValue.com is operated by Legal Gridlock ("we", "us", "our"). We provide an advertising and marketing service that helps people who were in a vehicle accident understand their situation in general terms and, if they choose, get connected with independent, participating attorneys and law firms.
We are not a law firm, we are not attorneys, and we do not provide legal services or legal advice. We are not a lawyer referral service certified or sponsored by any state bar. Participating attorneys are independent professionals who are not our employees or agents, and we do not supervise or control their work.
Alex is an artificial-intelligence assistant. Alex is not a person, not a licensed attorney, and not a substitute for one. Anything Alex says, including any general sense of what a case "could be worth", is general information based on what you tell it and on publicly available rules. It can be incomplete or wrong, it is not tailored legal advice, and you should not rely on it to make legal decisions or to decide whether or when to file a claim.
Only a licensed attorney who reviews your specific facts can give you legal advice. Filing deadlines (statutes of limitations) and other rules vary by state and by situation and can be shorter than you expect. If you think you may have a claim, speak with an attorney promptly.
Using this site, chatting or speaking with Alex, or submitting your information does not create an attorney-client relationship with us or with any attorney. An attorney-client relationship, if any, is formed only when you and an attorney sign a written agreement with each other. Until then, do not send anyone confidential or time-sensitive information that you would only share with your own lawyer.
This service is free for you. We are compensated by participating attorneys and law firms for advertising and for introductions to people who ask to be connected. That compensation does not change what you pay an attorney; any fee arrangement is between you and the attorney you choose to hire.
We do not guarantee that any attorney will accept your matter, that any claim will succeed, or that you will receive any settlement, verdict, or amount. Any figures discussed are general and hypothetical.
When you submit your name and phone number and verify it with the code we text you, and when you click a button such as "Send Code" or "Have Alex Call Me", you expressly consent to be contacted by CheckMyAccidentValue.com, Legal Gridlock, our partners, and their participating attorneys and law firms about your inquiry by phone, text message, or email, including calls and texts placed with automated technology, prerecorded voice, artificial voice, or AI-generated voice, at the number you provided, even if that number is on a Do Not Call registry. You agree we may contact you at any time, including before 8am or after 9pm your local time.
Consent is not a condition of receiving any service. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP to a text, by telling Alex or any caller that you no longer wish to be contacted, or by emailing us. Message and data rates may apply. We record the consent language you saw and your submission details, and we may use a third-party service (such as TrustedForm by ActiveProspect) to document that consent.
Chats with Alex are stored, and phone calls with Alex may be recorded and transcribed, so that we can review quality, document your inquiry, and share it with a participating attorney if you ask to be connected. By continuing a call or chat, you consent to that recording and use. Do not share more than you are comfortable having reviewed by us or by an attorney.
You confirm that you are at least 18 years old, that the information you provide is true and about you (or someone who authorized you to act for them), and that the phone number you provide is yours. You agree not to use the site to submit false information, to harass anyone, to interfere with the service, or for any unlawful purpose.
How we collect, use, and share your information is described in our Privacy Policy at checkmyaccidentvalue.com/privacy-policy, which is part of these terms. In short: we use what you tell us to help with your inquiry, to connect you with participating attorneys if you ask, and to improve the service. We do not sell your information to data brokers.
The site and Alex are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and our owners, employees, and partners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the site, your reliance on information from Alex, or your dealings with any attorney or law firm, even if we were advised of the possibility. Some states do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the current version, and continued use after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
